obviously that liak is biased against Sporean. That article was in 2013 and with so many foreigners in Spore by then he can conclude it is Singaporeans littering without any mention of foreigners littering is very telling. Why only highlight Sporeans eat like pigs in hawker centre and cleaning up after Sporean? The million foreigners don't create rubbish and don't eat like pigs and the cleaners hired in Spore are not cleaning up after them?

I agree. A dirty Singapore doesn't mean that the dirt and filth came from Singaporeans. Singapore has abt 2m resident foreigners and more than 3m Singaporeans. Maybe 500,000 of these Singaporeans are new citizens, formerly from India and PRC.
Tourism brings in abt 12m tourists a year. Assuming that each tourist stays four days, annual number of tourists work out to be 48m. that works out to be abt 134,000 tourists in SG everyday
So, in a day, we have maybe 3m native Singaporeans, 500k new citizens who still have 3rd world habits, 2m foreigners who reside in Singapore and 134k tourists. So the littering is equally likely to be done by new citizens, resident foreigners or tourists.
So don't blame Singaporeans when SG is dirty as there are abt 50% foreigners in SG
Blame the pap for bringing in foreigners with bad social habits.
Not only dirt increases, crimes and lawless in SG have increased too

Oic so there are more than 2.6 million foreigners/new citizens vs 3 million Singaporeans and those saying cleaners are cleaning up after Sporeans conveniently blank out the almost 50 percent foreigners that the cleaners are cleaning up after. 2.6 million sure create alot of rubbish for the cleaners. By reducing these foreigners, straight away can cut number of cleaners by almost 50 percent.

yes very abusive govt that blamed Sporeans for everything from foreigners riot to dogs and rats problem.
I assess that at any day, abt half the people in Singapore are not Singaporeans. So you are right that much of the litter and rubbish are not by Singaporeans.
If we have an all Singaporean population, Singapore will be much clean like the good old days in 1990s.
Also we will not need so many sweepers, cleaners etc.
PAP privatises profits, socialises costs by:
1. Temasek companies' profits go to PAP and their cronies. Temasek losses are footed by Singaporeans, eg $1.1b subsidy to SBS to buy 900 buses
2. Clean Singapore honour goes to PAP, dirty Singapore PAP blames Singaporeans for littering
3. PAP blames Singaporeans for feeding stray dogs when it is the PAP which is negligent to act on so many complaints abt stray dogs and rats in Singapore

this is a very good idea and with 50 percent less rubbish and cleaners required, Spore will be able to pay the cleaners 5k instead of 1k now.
