SINGAPORE: Police are looking into a case of alleged scam emails supposedly sent by the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS).
Recipients of the email were told there were problems with their 2013 tax returns.
They are then asked to click on a hyperlink in the email to download and view their tax return report.
Channel NewsAsia understands the link directs recipients to a web page where they are asked to provide their personal and financial details.
It is understood that IRAS had received several complaints from tax payers who received the email. - CNA/rw
