Serial liquor thief arrested

SINGAPORE - A 27-year-old man believed to be responsible for a series of liquor thefts at a supermarket in Jurong East has been arrested.
Between Jan 1-20, the police received several reports of liquors stolen from a supermarket located around Street 21 of the estate.
Following the reports, officers from Clementi Police Division conducted intensive follow-up investigations after reviewing CCTV footages and subsequently arrested the suspect at Jurong East Central on Monday.
Five bottles of liquors that were in the suspect's possession were seized.
Police believe the suspect had made at least three attempts to steal liquor from the supermart.
He will be charged in court on Wednesday. If found guilty, he faces a maximum jail term of seven years or be liable to a fine.
