Hi Maxpark,

these are leasehold, but still good news for Nusajaya.

Ok thanks.
Overall indeed positive news as it shows robust and sustained investor confidence... though I wont be considering leasehold in Malaysia when freehold is widely available, but thats just me.

sama sama for now I will look at freehold only in JB. The E&O Medini JV will be leasehold too. Looks like Penang and KV developers are coming big here.

It sure looks like most of Medini will be leasehold.
Those folks at EL and LH should be very pleased with their FH properties as theirs should be about the closest to Medini.

Hi LGLab,

Could you help to explain further, do you mean to get out of Malaysia by stamping and then circling back to Malaysia? Yes you can if thats what you were asking. There is a right turn to allow you to head back to Malaysia after getting your departure stamp on your passport. Just heard they extended MACS to end of this year at Jusco. Brought a few new friends to get it done recently. Felt embarrassed when i told them it was extended until Dec 15 but turned out that it was extended again.

hi bro wuji,

i have recently made downpayment of 2% for HH terrace.

my parents are both aged 69 and aged 73.

mother aged 69, fracture her spine and now fear of walking without walking frame.
my dad has parkinson disease.

i got a new born 4 mths old and my wife not a singapore pr yet. holding ltvp.

therefore, moving to johor bahru will be a choice for me to escape for the clutches of the govt.

lesser stress level, bigger house, lesser conflict with in laws and mother because 2 storey my wife can go upstair if dont wan interact with my mum.

currently, i do not have my driving license yet. therefore worrying once we moved over, how the hack are my family members going to renew their chop of their passport?

im think booking 1 whole day cab cost 150RM! and i got to do this every month? my wife is twice per mth, her passport only has 14 days renewal for her.

is it possible for my family to book a malaysian cab and go past departure of malaysia and u-turn and renew their chop ?
if can, i will at least lessen my worries.

east539 told that this is not possible becus it is sg regulations that those earning sgd have to get back to sg once every mth..

Good day everyone, been reading this thread for a couple of months, really informative, helpful and encouraging... have committed on a freehold at NI8b :-)

As a member of NI Precinct 8, I welcome you to the neighbourhood! Can you enlighten me on how much of Phase 8B has been sold so far? I haven't visited the sales office for ages and am curious.

Hi Narmi,

HH is at least RM1.1mil now.

I heard Nusa Idaman has safety issues. Also, many Malays are staying there. I am afraid that I might not fit in very well there.

Hi TayJC sorry to bring this up and perhaps you didn't mean to but this comment came of as a little offensive to me (and I'm Singaporean). I'll overlook the saefty issues at NI as there have been cases raised before but I do wonder what you meant by not fitting in a neighbourhood where there are many Malays staying. Is it because you feel the Malay neighbours won't be able to tolerate you or vice versa? If you decide to live in someone's country (I presume you're non-Malaysian please forgive me if I am wrong) I would think that you'd be willing to interact and integrate with them?

I agree with u bro iamapsuedoneem
Tayjc, u r talkg bout msia where majority r malays. I cant imagine any places in msia except temples or churches where non malays r d dominant or only grp of pple. Your overall quality of living experience will not be complete. The maly pple here (msia) most if not all r decent folks and friendly.

frankly I as a SG Chinese prefer Malay neighbors. In general, they are friendly, tolerant, dun mind others' different way of life so long as it is not a nuisance. Among Chinese, likely we the older generation will begin subdivide in dialect group, howntown, class of cars, furniture style and whatnot when a new neighbor appear, nothing to do with culture or personal behavior, just a self-feel-good nonsense. I am glad to find that young Chinese Johoreans speak at ease a common language, Putonghua or Mandarin, besides their national language.

Hey guys

For those Singaporean who took up home loan , did your bank request to pay some admin money for foreigners acct ?
UXX just told me to pay RM$500 .....wth ......
Before i sign up with them , I asked any fees to pay ? they say only postage fees RM90 coz the rest absorbed by the developer, now is RM500!!

I think the rm500 is set up fee is standard for all regardless of foreigner or not. Certain packages do not require, but otherwise, it's quite a standard thing.

No leh. The rm500 is the min deposit to open an account ?
Shouldn't need so much admin fee for foreigners. At least not in my case for AmbAnk.

If it's a flexi-loan linked to current account, then yes there's a one time setup fee of feww hundred RM.

If TayJC looks hard enough I'm sure amidst all this huanna mediocrity of Malaysia he will find exclusive Tng Nang enclave where everyone is friendly like back in the ancestral Middle Kingdom. Most likely the DMC in such an estate will make it compulsory to install large stainless steel main gate which mimic the look of a Pawnshop entrance.
