I also know alot of people finishing their degree overseas in 2 years, but these people all got diploma from polytechnic here before going overseas. Polytechnic is considered tertiary education, which allows exemption of one year for degree course. "A" level is considered general education and would not have qualified for any exemption. Pl see SHT education details in earlier post, what he has is "A" level before his SIM diploma.

what if i told you even if you are from A level, goes oversea if you are insane enough and have no life, its still possible to finish a degree without honours in 2 years. clue: take modules in summer holiday as well. WHAT IS SO SURPRISING ABOUT THIS?
open your bloody mind, the whole world uni does not contain only nus or ntu past system. READ IT CAREFFULLY, PAST SYSTEM. Is your circle of friends are so small that none of them done it before? oversea uni workload are not as hard as the locals, overloading is common if you want to save on cash. goodness i cannot believe someone actually argue on this.
i know someone that graduate with honours double degree from US in 3 years (from A level). what if he don't do any honours and just concentrate on 1 degree with same workload?
these 2 local uni are shit in the very first place. btw nus too switch to modular system similar to US, its possible to finish a basic degree in local within 2 years if you want to overload and do special sem. however most people only just do it to cut 1 semister, cutting 2 is too strainful. THEY ARE NOT FROM POLY, so without honours 2 and half years is not hard at all (lots of people done it). insane enough you don't care about grades, finishing in 2 years too is possible. if you think i am bullshit go check out and plan the timetable yourselves and map nus modules including special sem.
the norm in nus is this graduate in 3 years = don't do special sem and just do 5 modules. give you an example: i know of prc scholars doing 7 modules in a row with permission after scoring all As with 6 modules from pervious semister <--- do your own maths on nus website now. if its possible in theory locally, why not oversea with a workload that is less stressful, go figure it out yourselves.
if you are a frog in the well that only knows local system, don't assume the whole world is only this big

this one i also don't know, i only saw a post graduate diploma which is unlikely to be a phd. i am not too familiar with post graduate degree naming system of the European countries, so i am not surprise if it is. their naming system is different from ours slighly
