There was originally a covered walkway temporarily linking between Serangoon MRT Station and Serangoon Bus Interchange, it was in use for a year or so. However, around National Day 2010 (9th Aug) it was removed for another LTA pedestrian bridge project. The horrible detour force all the passengers to walk between Serangoon MRT & Interchange under sun and rain and subjected to dangerous traffic as exposed by this video taken today 12.Oct.2010, for more than 2 months tens of thousands of passengers suffered from this condition. It also showed the risky foot path journey from Interchange to MRT station. LTA better wake up before accident happened again and cite Honest Mistake as usual.

You think posting your video here will get better response from Town Council? You think Town Council people got nothing better to do than just to surf Sammyboy during duty hours?

Any responsible citizen or person will feedback to Town Council for some remedial action to be taken. As it is they have specially erected a pedestrian pathfor the convenience and safety of the users there.

Be honest - the purpose of you posting here is simply to find opportunity to disgrace the gahment or anybody who got something to do with the PAP. It is for cheap political reason. You won't get my vote,

if not mistaken, serangoon was under aljunied grc that almost lost to opposition in the previous GE. anyway, even if the complaints surface to town council, it usually stops there. if the complaint is made direct to LTA, there'd be some form of lame template written correspondence.

It was Braddell Hill I think, together with Paya Lebar, Cheng San & Punggol, it was loosing votes rapidly... Braddell Hill was incorporated into..., and then Paya Lebar...and so forth.

At one time the strecth of Upper Serangoon Rd from Woodsville circle ( now gone) up to Nativity Church Junction ( former Kangkar) was slowly turning into Oppositions Enclaves...

The rest of story, you all know already...

Don't worry, if uncleyap's endorsed SDP makes a challenge there, you can vote for them and see Chee and co. will do a better job or not.

They will be busy picking quarrels, at hong lim park giving speeches and cannot be bothered with upgrading or anything or sorts.

That's their main purpose of going into parliament. To ask questions. No time for residents.

It should be under Marine Parade's Seah Kian Peng ward. Looking at the video it seems that safety precautions are not adhered to and very prone to accidents. I would not want to walk on that passenger walkway for the fear of my safety.

The NEX building project originally provided a temp walkway with shelter linking between MRT station & bus interchange it was function with acceptable standard (for a worksite) for many many months. But when LTA's pedestrian bridge project began they fucked that up and demolished the sheltered walkway and provided no alternative except for forcing people to walk on the road outside and through the bridge construction site, it is very horrible. The workers with heavy machinery e.g. cranes, do welding & other very heavy construction, they got safety helmets safety shoes & ear plugs etc but the tens of thousands of commuters don't have any safety. The traffic became chaotic especially that U-turn and car park entrance. The commuters can be either hit by vehicle or endangered by construction of bridge or building. I saw at the beginning of project, the dozens of engineers of main-con, sub-con, LTA & others all Chiak Liao Bee gathered that as if they were planing and making observations, all WAYANG! They ended up doing like this! Subjecting the public to this horrible condition at a high human traffic location, really UNSAFE! LTA WAKE UP!
