As you make the occasional visit over the next few months you may have time to notice the unusual and rare. People are often friendly enough to ask about what to do with a certain vegetable or where to find the elusive. Look for the stall that displays items from Kelantan/Trengganu, and pounce on the buah roumenia and different jambus that occasionally surface.

Do take the necessary precaution when there and of course anywhere for that matter. A colleague of mine had his car broken into. Made a report near the Larkin Police Station and the officer said its not uncommon. Those mother€¥£*^~€ seems to target SG cars..but true u will enjoy the pasar tani if you love all the kampung and hard to get stuff. Its the atmosphere that i like but this is not shared by the missus n d kids who prefer air con places anytime

@ d beef stall d ladies were buying kilos of beef n the guy did brisk business.
I even aske the beef vendor top trim away the fats n he readily agreed.

I meant yesterday evening, not now liao....haha......Jam was mainly at EDL side, and not SG side, as the SG cars blocked all the lanes of the EDL, while trying to cut into the customs lanes.
Lesson learnt. Avoid EDL from JB to SG during the super holidays period. The previous big-time jams was also during last year CNY, and another occasion when an accident blocked off 3 EDL lanes......
Went to Country Garden also for the 1st time yesterday. V impressive work by the Chinese in a short span of 1 year, but I do find prices to be a barrier for me. Hee

ytd 5pm i was caught 1.5hrs at Tuas lor , really getting sick n tired of all this jams !
Treasure what you are experiencing now i.e. 1.5 hr. By next year this time it is likely to stretch to 2 hr
If you can do some business in JB and take advantage of the low business cost there. That will be excellent !

Its started as early as noon time the queue back all the way at the beginning of the bridge from Malaysia. I was in the CW bus luckily.
Next time I will drive bus to Malaysia!

Jams can be managed rather easily.. Do not go back to sg the usual time as the others . Everyone was going back after holiday break yesterday..sure jam. I came back this morning at 5 am - took about 1.5 hour at the first link. Had a nice breakfast along the causeway with beautiful music.
For me , anything between 1 to 1.5 hour is expected. Less than 1 hour is a bonus.
I was only caught in a horrendous jam twice (2 to 3 hours)in my last 1.5 years travelling in and out of JB.
