A bus crashed into a wall at the Ang Mo Kio bus interchange on Sunday evening, causing a man in his 40s to suffer head injuries.

Eight others suffered minor injuries. The injured - who were all passengers on the bus - were sent to Tan Tock Seng Hospital. The police said they received a call at 6.15pm.

Ms Tammy Tan, senior vice president of corporate communications for SBS Transit said they are investigating the incident. She added that the company sent a team to the hospital to render assistance, but they were denied entry.

dear all brothers and sisters,
please don't speculate about the nationality of the bus driver. However, please remember that SBS Transit is a government link company and almost all its directors and key management staffs are handpicked by Temasek GIC. The crux is that they are GLC and accident prone. Very often we can read the news about bus accidents, bus breakdowns and bus drivers who are not familiar with bus routes. In conclusion, Singapore public transportation is not cheap and in fact is quite expensive but they are definitely not safe. :*:

Maybe Mr Ang should ask the driver if he took a short cut resulting in the accident.

Someone must have thought about the possibility of a runaway bus, that's why the barriers are there. The interchange is usually crowded & the potential for higher casualties is there. Luckily the barrier held.

We should all be concerned because these "little" incidents are beginning to be more common e.g. ponding, dengue, runaway buses, errant bicycle ridders, careless motorists,... I would say that Spore has become more dangerous:(

Thank you for being civic minded.

Shit Times :

When reporter interviewed Mr. Ling a victim in the hospital, Mr. Ling replied that he will NOT sue SMRT for it. 'This is because I am a vegan, and vegan are full of compassion. We are not the sueing type', Mr. Ling said.

So fucktard tonychat, is Mr. Ling being balless?
