Some of the discussions in the days following the start of Inquiry was not about his cause of death but the press coverage from across the world and in local forums. One thing was consistent, any points that favoured the establishment was not factored in, not reported nor acknowledged. All the foreign press took that line including netizens by and large.
I guess it was payback time for this govt's attempts to gag them thru the courts and burning a hole in their pockets. Much of which if one remembers correctly were any report in foreign press suggesting nepotism in regard to old man's son or his daughter-in-law.
The second idiot on same equation is our Foreign Minister Shanmugam who took to task the world press community over their annual rating of Singapore Press Holdings and he did this last year. Where he praised SPH to high heaven knowing full well that they are as dishonest, bias and impartial on everything about any comments that are derogatory about the PAP and the Govt. This same clown who rubbished the foreign press community was seeking their support for the Todd inquiry. Was he seriously expecting any form of support. They thumbed their noses at him.
Now it seems that certain key players in the press world were behind Raymond Bonner's article and the use of a highly respected organisation such as the Financial Times, the local law fraternity who were suckered into pro bono services and couple of other clowns.
The old man did it to protect his family interest and not the country. Was it worth it?
