As long as I make money, I don't care who win.

Johor may fall to the DAP/Pakatan. Would also be ok. DAP very pro business. They will carry on with the development of Johor. Look at Penang. Since the DAP took over penang property prices shot up 4.7 times.

HeyIR, that's a really good summary. Not forgetting that Peter Lim will be injecting billions for various projects. He certainly is no fool and an astute investor. I believe many will follow his entry to Iskandar very soon

Hi Maserati: You are right. My list is not comprehensive. There are some many that I missed, such as:
- Peter Lims Motorsport Hub as you pointed out
- Bio X Cell - 4 companies committed
- Temasek - Khazanah Wellness Village
- Media Village - the Ecosystem of companies around Pinewood

Most importantly, in terms of access, if anyone goes to Puteri Harbour, they can see that the new CIQ is almost complete, and not on the drawing board.

Here is a presentation. It does not include some the latest, but still a good summary of the completed and planned investments:

The beauty about Nusajaya is that it is not only the internal demand from some the the world class MNCs that have already committed, but also driven by expatriates and Singaporeans who are increasingly willing to live in Nusajaya and commute to Singapore. Here are some articles:

So true, we bought a unit there n waiting to move in. Our family like it there (EL) We don't mind commuting back to S'pore daily as only EL can give us a quality life of living rather than living in a bird cage here(S'pore)
S'pore too expensive :(

Singapore is not only expensive, small pigeon holes homes, it is also cramp like sardines.

Must admit it is a damn good place for elites in their bungalow in BT 6th avenue and the super rich to spend their wealth and stay in beachfront sentosa.

Here, at least for ordianry folks like us, got more open spaces and slower pace. What is the point of earning so much, so hectic life style and probably end up with high blood pressure. The miw don't care about your HBP, only what $ they can get from you hor.

Better to have a cheaper alternative now and not wait until retirement and no money to retire. Then become macdonald uncle and aunties in wonderful sinkieland.

yess. spore is a good place to work in, money is good but msia is a better place to retire in provided msia keep beefing up security which is the most damaging binding constraint on the country. nowadays with so many G&G and luxury condos that have install 3/4 tier security infrastructure, i believe security has been tightened ..though more can and should be done.

Many sporeans are still shunning msia due to concern over security. if msia can addresss the security concern, more sporeans will flock in and snap up properties .. and those sporeans who have taken the risk to buy the property in JB earlier will stand to gain from their property appreciation

Hi Graveyard, I usually drive from River Valley Road and it takes me anywhere from 40 minutes to 1 Hour 15 minutes to East Ledang. Sometime I drive from my office, at the junction of Alexandra and Pasir Panjang Rd and it actually takes 5-10 minutes less due to direct access to AYE. I drive at speed limit, after getting a speeding ticket early in the year, just before Tuas on the way out.

The worst traffic delay I have experienced is on AYE around Clementi on my way in.

House is not ready yet greveyard but getting there soon. I look forward to it. But we still go there quite often as my wife likes the Angsana spa at the clubhouse + we have activated the HH membership.

Ujana looks good and complete. Looks like the keys will be given out very soon. I am not sure if you saw some pictures posted by Investor on this thread:

http://www.sammyboy.com/showthread....Ledang-Heights-Ujana-Impiana-community/page40

The landscaping looks great outside. I am not sure about the interiors though. Anyone who has seen the interiors please add. I agree with Investor that this is a great value for money. The area is very green and open and I am sure some of the units have great views of landed houses, leisure farms etc. Most of the surrounding developments are low density. There is a strip mall Anjung within walking distance. Mall of Medini and Bukit Indah are a short drive.

On the flip side, there is no public transport nearby so you will have to have to drive. Keep in mind that you have to pay highway tolls each way both on the Singapore (SGD 3.20 each way) and Malaysia side (RM 7.50 each way) while using the 2nd link.

oh niceee. hope ur house will top soon! do u see many angmohs there walking their dogs?

thanks for the link. hv not seen them and yes .. the condo looks good. hope they will maintain it well. condos have a bad upkeeping history in msia unlike those in spore!

i heard the interiors are not too good, no marble?

haa in msia, no point relying on public transport. people drive or take taxi ..the publich transport is hopeless. thanks for the note. i am aware of the 2nd link charge. pretty costly comapred to causeway

I usually go there in the daytime, so a bit hot to walk dogs at that time. :-)

But I do see an increasing number of expats at the Ledang clubhouse pool and restaurant.
