SINGAPORE - Actress Zoe Tay has tested positive for Covid-19, she revealed on Instagram Stories on Wednesday (July 27).
Showing herself holding a rapid test with two lines and shaking her head, she also added a sticker with the words "Quarantine Mode On".
According to the 54-year-old's Instagram posts, she had in recent days attended two large gatherings.
On Sunday, she was at socialite-heiress Kim Lim's birthday extravaganza, a joint celebration for Lim, 31, and her son Kyden, five.
Among the 250 guests at the Sentosa bash were social media personalities such as Xiaxue and Jianhao Tan, as well as actresses Hong Huifang, Aileen Tan and former actress Cassandra See.
There were also celebrities from Thailand, Indonesia and Hong Kong at the party.
Last Friday, Tay also attended the wedding dinner of social media personality Joanna Theng. The daughter of prominent ophthalmologist Julian Theng, she had appeared in Mediacorp dramas as a teen.

The star-studded guest list included celebrity couples Xiang Yun and Edmund Chen, Pan Lingling and Huang Shinan, Chen Liping and Rayson Tan, as well as actresses Rebecca Lim and Huang Biren.
Despite testing positive, Tay appeared to be in good spirits and has been updating her Instagram Stories. Among other updates, she shared a warning about someone impersonating her in an online scam and also relayed her thanks to those who had sent her gifts and wished her a speedy recovery.

If it is not evident by now to some on our govt's courageous stance to declare COVid 19 as Endemic, which was later followed by other nations suffering from foolish lockdowns which had NOT stop a centuries old virus but only STARVED millions, proven Worldwide, this is the result of ' Herd Immunity', the exponential rate of infection that ensure ALL will get to know this now known non-fatal virus.

There were disagreements between both sides Worldwide on this issue by intellectuals, but eventually, Scientific evidences won, based upon evolution of Species. Humankind Do have the tools even biological such as our unique immune system & built up upon knowledge to survive on Earth as proven by our ancestors or else we this generation would not be alive today with the numerous biological elements, both DNA & RNA types that survived far beyond even before Humanity existed on Earth that would not harm us if we were smart, but would rather be exterminated by our own ignorance.

The fatality rate of the COVid 19 virus is below 2% as proven by scientific data amassed over painful 2 yrs+, even at its height with the worst variant - Delta - in India where the virus was allowed to propagate & evolve among those in the at risk groups whom were neglected & even thrown in river -water sources for majority. 98% of Indians survived.

The COV virus WILL continue to spread, but WILL come to a point where there's no more to spread, & thus its evolution & speed of transmission will end. It does not harm 98% of population. Most either have NO symptoms as proven, or only mild symptoms, & are considered NON-infectious after 7 days of necessary rest to build up & strengthen the Human Immune System.

The major concern will be those at risk groups - the elderly, those with existing health conditions & the young born with health defects. They will not be abandoned, & even now, vaccine manufacturers with empathy hearted scientists are racing daily to find BETTER vaccines & even cures for them, as we Singaporeans, are a civilization that will leave NO ONE behind.

On a personal note, my respects to Singapore's only true and well known Diva worthy of admiration. She is an honorable lady, a good wife, mother to her kids, a leader in her trade & a true friend to the many of whom had the privilege to get to know her as the insignificant nobody me did even briefly, to help her injured kid to a clinic, she whom was only a mere pig-farmer's daughter & done well in life thru hardwork, courage, perseverance & empathy, ideals & characteristics synonymous with many of our founding & forefathers whom had sacrificed much & gave us our todays.

I wish her & others well, a speedy recovery & an official discharge from MOH after 7 days of needed rest for the vaccinated, & 14 days for those unvaccinated. All the best.
