Yummy Crab
351 Changi Road
THIS crab outlet, owned by chicken rice brand Boon Tong Kee, may not be in the top five when it comes to crabs (its chilli crab, for instance, lacks punch), but it's worth a visit for the fried rice with crab meat ($15 for a serving for two persons).
The mound of firm grains is chock-full of chunks of crab meat, barbecued pork and prawns, all succulent and juicy, and the rice isn't clumpy or too greasy.
Perfect for when you're on your own, craving crab and don't want to look greedy eating a whole crab by yourself.
SoShiok.com's note: On its website, Yummy Crab describes it as one of their signature dishes with a "mix of juicy huge prawns, Chinese sausage, char siew and salted fish fried to a crispy brown" It says "the crab meat is removed from freshly steamed crab while the rice is washed, soaked with oil and salt, then steamed before being fried over high heat for the aromatic flavours".
Yummy Crab
