The police have arrested the youth who wreaked havoc at the atrium of the Bedok Point retail complex on Sunday (Sep 22).
Earlier, STOMPer Randy sent in CCTV footage of the youth's minute of mayhem, when he kicked down a display shelf before walking off. The youth, who was with a group of friends at the time, was also alleged to have started a fight nearby and also vandalised the property of a cafe nearby.
A police spokesperson told STOMP that they received a report of a case of mischief at the retail mall at 6.26am on Sep 22.
"A man has been arrested for criminal trespass and investigations are ongoing," the spokesperson added.
In addition, the youth has also come forward to apologise for his actions and offered to compensate for the damages, reported Randy.
Randy, who is the organiser of the event at Bedok Point, told STOMP in a phone interview:
"The youth came up to us when our event was ongoing and apologised for his actions.
"He also offered to pay compensation for our losses that were caused by his actions."
