A young pregnant woman out for a casual stroll suddenly goes into labor in a crowded street
in Guangzhou, China.
The woman’s water bag broke while walking down a crowded street. Passersby quickly stopped to
assist the mother, who was pregnant for the first time.
One man called an ambulance. While waiting for paramedics to arrive, the woman gave birth.
A man knelled down and gently placed the newborn on a blanket. He cleaned the baby with a tissue
handed to the mother by a stranger.
When paramedics arrived, the new mother and her child were rushed to the hospital. A spokesperson
for the hospital said both are doing well.
