Young S'porean couple quit their jobs to travel from S'pore to Europe in cheap van

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Killing_of_Gabby_Petito

Gabrielle Venora Petito (March 19, 1999[1] – late August 2021) was an American woman who was killed while traveling on a vanlife journey across the United States with her fiancé, Brian Laundrie. The trip began on July 2, 2021, and was planned to last four months; however, Petito disappeared in late August. After Petito went missing, Laundrie raised suspicion when he drove Petito's van from Wyoming back to his parents' house in Florida and refused to talk about Petito's whereabouts. The case gained national attention due to their social media activity, police body camera video footage, 9-1-1 emergency dispatch call recordings, and eyewitness accounts.

Laundrie was deemed a person of interest in the case and an arrest warrant was issued on charges of making withdrawals using someone else's debit card. He departed his home in North Port, Florida on September 13 and he was reported missing on September 17.

On September 19, 2021, Petito's remains were found at Bridger–Teton National Forest in Wyoming. According to the autopsy, she was killed by manual strangulation. After a month of speculation around Laundrie's whereabouts and an extended search of the area around his Florida home, his skeletal remains were discovered in the Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park on October 20. His cause of death has not been determined, with an autopsy proving inconclusive.

no. This video very old already.
I imagine they would have problems crossing borders as they have their own transport. Going into thsiland for instance require thai insurance etc.
Best to walk through the borders and take public transport

Not only were they unsuccessful in their travel pursuits...both of them eventually broke up.
Most divorces occured when both couples are with one another for too long a period, say during retirement or in this case travelling in a little van.
Couples quarrel even when on holidays in Europe or japan as they all have different priorities.

Thai insurance if not mistaken RM 30 only for the lowest plan. Can get at the northern Malaysian states which have small insurance shops by the roadside. But the hassle is, once reach Thai checkpoint, passenger need to walk to the counter to chop their passport and settle all paperworks and cannot stay inside the vehicle with the driver like before.

Now can already since they've upgraded their checkpoints on the Thai side at Bukit Kayu Hitam from 2020. No need to walk to their Immigration Office anymore for those going in by car.

I've tried driving across a country before. Fucking tired, but kinda fun. Much better than driving in the city for sure. U can stop by the side, admire waterfalls anytime u want.

But looking at their shitty vehicle, it's probably going to be quite unpleasant. At least get a 4WD rough terrain vehicle la.

real a not, i see youtube a video on may they come back cos of covid that all. never say they break up

what happens when they cross borders into cuntries that drive on the other (or wrong) side of their van? which comprise majority of cuntries in asia and europe.

Hmmm seems good to go for my next Danok adventure hopefully next year.

Ha ha, talking of Danok, a lot of those Thai "chickens" there should be affected quite badly due to the lack of clients during this prolonged shutdown.

Before their upgrade (ie: before 2020), I had once drove in and found their car park all full. So, I asked the officer there, how? He told me and even allowed me to just drive in and park further down the road (by the roadside) and then walk back to chop our passports (for my wife and I). I was then thinking, in this case, I can even go in to Thailand illegally.
