Angry viewers have taken to social media to berate an Instagram influencer after he claimed learning about World War II would harm pupils' mental health.
Reality TV star Freddie Bentley, 22, told Good Morning Britain today that he thinks schools should trim back what they teach on the conflict.
'It was a hard situation, World War Two, I don't want anyone to think I'm being disrespectful,' he said, but added: 'I remember learning it as a child thinking "Oh my God it's so intense".'
His comments were met with fury on social media as viewers slammed his disrespectful remarks on Twitter, as one person fumed: 'You need to learn respect young man!'

He is fearful that the bloody subject may worsen any mental health issues that children already have.
Freddie told Ben Shephard and Kate Garraway: 'I don't think encouraging death or telling people how many people died in the world war is going to make it better.'
He suggested replacing a portion the time given to World War II topics with things that could prepare pupils for when they leave school, such as how to get a mortgage or how to understand Brexit.
People swiftly took to social media to oppose his remarks, arguing that those who do not learn about history are condemned to repeat its horrors.

'There's so many problems going on in the world, like Brexit, that's not taught in schools,' he said. 'When I left school it hit me like a ton of bricks - I didn't know anything to do with life.'
It comes after candidates on The Apprentice were slammed by BBC viewers last night after the losing team revealed they did not know the war ran from 1939 to 1945.
Events manager Riyonn Farsad was fired having been part of the losing team five times and Lord Alan Sugar's patience ran out after a disappointing display.

The Apprentice contestants struggled over whether 1945 was the start or end date of the war
His team were stumped by the starting date of the war before they even began the task, which involved finding a pre-war copy of Alice's Adventures In Wonderland
One viewer tweeted: 'It says a lot about the British education system, when The Apprentice candidates don't know when World War Two started and how long it lasted. This country is breeding a lot of ignorant buffoons.'

Another added: 'Should have sacked the whole team for not knowing what a Mortar Board is or when World War Two started.'
And a third said: 'Just remembered an entire team of contestants on The Apprentice didn't know what year World War Two began.'

Instagram star says World War II 'too intense' for Millennials

Useless and stupid strawberry faggot. Without the "greatest generation" and their sacrifice and bravery, people in the world today would be speaking only three languages. German, Japanese and Italian.

His botox face ought to be face some war before he sprouts more nonsense.

Soldiers that fought in WWII were real brave soldiers....unlike those now using computers & paper qualifications and yet never been engaged in any battles but can be termed "generals".
