SINGAPORE - Three teenagers are slated to be charged in court on Feb 21 over allegedly assaulting another teen and robbing him in Yishun.
The police said they arrested the trio on Feb 20, after being alerted to a case of robbery with hurt at Yishun Avenue 4 at about 2.55am the same day. The suspects are aged 16 or 17, with their genders not revealed.
Preliminary investigations showed that the victim, a 16-year-old boy, was allegedly attacked by three teens, and had $60 in cash taken from him, the police said in a statement on Feb 20.
The victim sustained injuries to the face and was taken to the hospital, the police added.
If found guilty, the three teens will face a jail term of between five and 20 years, and at least 12 strokes of the cane.
