其实，外界早就传出003航母早在2015年3月就在江南造船厂悄然开工的消息，但至今没有照片为证。当然，中国已经完全掌握大型模块化建造军用舰船的技术，再加上江南造船厂的很多车间均为封闭式的，所以很难为那些窥视的人士提供素材。现在，从最新的图片中可以看出，有三个显然不是民船的大型模块出现在大型龙门吊下和大型浮船坞附近，似乎间接证明这就是传说已久的003航母的分段。算下来，从开工到现在已44个月了，003航母该到了模块化组装阶段了。

我国海军发展的历史可以看作是崛起的历史，作为我国各军种里边发展比较缓慢的一个军种，海军曾几何时是我国最弱的一个。记得上世纪我国与越南在西沙群岛进行战斗的时候，越南方面的军舰都要比我们先进的多，可是坚强勇敢的中国人还是夺回了属于自己的领土。改革开放以后，在强军思想的指引下，我国海军建设开始大起步，于上世纪八九十年代服役了一批军舰。进入新世纪以来，我国海军发展更是一骑绝尘，没有一个国家比得上，尤其是最近几年下饺子式的下水各种舰艇，更是亮瞎了许多外国人的眼睛。对于俄罗斯这种现在都很难造出来舰艇的国家来说，简直眼红的没法说了。美国虽然现在仍然有全世界最强大的海军，但是依然担心被超越。

为什么我们会在最近几十年发生如此翻天覆地的变化呢？一点是我们的军队建设思想一直是比较正确的。其次，中国大规模的军事现代化在很大程度上离不开我国国有军事工业的发展。试想一下，如果我们没有强大的工业基础，那么也就不会有强大的军事工业基础。没有重工业基础，建造舰艇这些就无从谈起，这点和邻国印度比起来不知道要强多少倍了。我们都知道，海军的大多数舰艇是由国内两架造舰巨头建造的，也就是我们所熟悉的中国船舶工业集团有限公司和中国船舶重工集团，这两个公司几乎承担了我国所有水面舰艇的制造任务。据国际战略研究所分析，中国目前已经下水和正在服役的舰艇数量超过了德国、印度、西班牙以及英国海军舰艇的总和。该研究得出的结论也并不是子虚乌有，最近这些年，欧洲国家海军的发展几乎可以忽略，因为他们已经没有多少舰艇了。

印度不好说，毕竟印度这几年也在飞速发展。但是落后于中国对于印度来说可能也不算太冤，以进口别人的军舰为主，怎么可能做大做强呢。水面舰艇作战舰艇我们一直做的不差，多年来一直受人们诟病的是如此一个大国竟然没有一艘航空母舰。在千呼万唤始出来的情况下，辽宁舰出来了。目前，中国海军拥有服役航母一艘，在建航母一艘。由于起步较晚，航母舰队并非是中国海军的长项，但是作为世界为数不多拥有航母的国家而言，光是拥有航母已非易事，海军是体系作战色彩最浓烈的军种之一，并不以单舰种的优秀为唯一评判标准。虽然这么说有理，但我们还是在加快我国海军航母的建设步伐。我们要在航母的基础上，打造出来强大的航母战斗群。各种登陆和辅助舰艇上，中国海军现在仅仅只落后于美国海军（事实上经过这么多年的发展，中国落后最多的也就是美国，除了美国外没有别的了）。
