沙田昨日發生的警民衝突，共28人受傷送院，包括20男8女。醫管局說，截至上午11時半，仍有7人分別在沙田威爾斯醫院及大埔那打素醫院留院治療。
7名傷者中，有2人情況嚴重，餘下5人情況穩定。據了解，其中2名一度危殆的傷者，已經分別轉為嚴重和穩定。
昨日在沙田舉行反修訂逃犯條例遊行結束後，有示威者及防暴警察在新城市廣場內發生衝突，多名示威者、警員及記者受傷。事件中，10名警員受傷，其中一人被咬斷一截手指。

昨日下午的沙田反送中遊行後，警方與示威者對峙超過4小時，於晚上8時許開始清場，期間進入瀝源邨、沙田中心等民居，並在新城市廣場清場使用胡椒噴霧，與示威者爆發嚴重衝突，雙方均有人受傷。醫管局表示，截至凌晨12時半，有22人受傷送院，包括14男8女，其中3人嚴重、18人穩定、1人已出院。
有示威者與警員糾纏期間被扯爛上衣，被警打穿頭血流披面，有人要用氧氣罩協助呼吸。多名記者懷疑被雜物擊中受傷。警方表示，有11名警員受傷，其中一人被咬斷右手無名指其中一截，另一人被鉗夾斷手指。
警方拘捕最少40人，涉非法集結及襲警等。香港眾志表示，兩名成員和平離開期間突被警察抓捕，常委朱恩浩被防暴警察180度扭傷手腕，另一名成員廖偉濂被警察腳踢嘴角、身軀被撞至石壆，兩人涉非法集結被捕。
警務處處長盧偉聰凌晨到大埔那打素醫院，探望受傷警員，指多名警員分別被硬物擊傷。他對暴力行為予以最強烈讉責，指警方一定全力調查，追究到底。他說，警員近日受到很大壓力，努力卻只換回來各方責難。被問到警方為何在新城市廣場沒有報警的情況下進入商場，盧偉聰反問，若有干犯違法行為者走入商場，警員是否有責任入商場拘捕。

民主黨立法會議員鄺俊宇、尹兆堅、許智峯，議會陣線區諾軒、朱凱迪，公民黨楊岳橋、郭家麒及十多名民主派沙田區議員到場支援。各議員多番要求見警方指揮官，但不獲回應。有女社工呼籲警察後退或減少人手，但反遭警方要求她不要阻礙警方使用擴音器作宣布。

另一名市民則稱，看到在場多名警察沒有佩戴委任證，要求報案，警察要求他即場出示身分證以報案，他同意後隨即被帶進警方防線後。與此同時，大批防暴警察進入瀝源商場內天橋，商場內不少商舖拉閘停業。

晚上7時，一眾民主派立法會議員及區議員在警方防線前坐成一排，要求見指揮官。同時，前線示威者掩護後方撤退，並不斷游說其他人離開：「要走一齊走！」、「再唔走就走唔到㗎啦！」示威者將物資傳回後方，並築成人鏈，數著「一、二、一、二」慢慢向後退至源禾路及鄉事會路交界。示威者在十字路口築起防線，與沙燕橋上的防暴警察對峙。

晚上約8時，沙燕橋上的防暴警察舉藍旗，要求示威者馬上離開。沙田鄉事會路有警員呼籲示威者循新城市廣場離開，當時示威者已往新城市廣場方向撤退，部分示威者進入好運中心以及沙田中心商場平台，警方則沿路向前推進，期間有人高處擲物，警方舉起盾牌。
晚上約9時，大批防暴警察進入瀝源邨通往沙田市中心的天橋，並要求在場人士離開。另一邊廂，有防暴警察進入沙田中心屋苑平台範圍，現場居民表示不滿，要求警察離開：「呢度私人屋苑地方，你哋走啦，冇人請你哋嚟！」、「唔該你哋走啦，你嚇親我哋啲小朋友呀。」最終該批防暴警察調頭離開現場。

是次遊行的主辦方沙田一隅，原訂在晚上8至11時，在沙田大會堂的百步梯舉行放映會，並向警方申請不反對通知書。晚上7時許，沙田一隅宣布由於放映器材未運抵場地，百步梯將舉行和平集會，有過千名市民參與。主辦方亦呼籲示威者到百步梯暫避，集會初期氣氛平靜。有市民發言時說，如非有一群年輕人在6月12日示威，《逃犯條例》修訂可能已通過：「係佢哋付出咗好大代價，我哋先有今日呢個機會。」

晚上約10時，警方於沙田大會堂外截查一批人士，並大聲呼喝：「坐低！係咪想逃走！」又要求市民脫下帽子，有市民受驚。之後，警方將16男17女送上旅遊巴，前往葵涌警署。據悉，該批市民有可能被控告非法集結。

衝突前，下午的沙田遊行和平進行，原訂於下午3時半出發，由於參加人數眾多，站滿整個翠田街球場及附近的車公廟路，遊行提前半小時出發。不少市民高舉「守住香港、守住善良」、「警察濫權、香港玩完」的標語，並沿路高呼「林鄭下台」、「我要雙普選」等口號。

由於近日警民衝突加劇，不少市民自製與警察有關的標語表達不滿，又不斷大叫「黑警落地獄」、「成立獨立調查委員會」等口號。經過警方佈防位置時，遊行人士總是發出噓聲並不斷大鬧「死黑警」，有市民更大叫要和警察「隻揪」。有遊行人士自發在行車路中間的圓柱上築起連儂牆，獲得熱烈支持，不少人將自備的標語及便利貼貼上連儂牆。

由於遊行路線鄰近民居，有居民在陽台上貼上「加油」紙張，又掛起一件黃色衣服，引來遊行人士歡呼。亦有人掛上巨大直幡：「DQ逆民意，還我雙普選。收回暴動定性，追究警隊濫權。」大會宣布有11.5萬人上街，警方指高峰時有2.8萬人。

有示威者與警員糾纏期間被扯爛上衣，被警打穿頭血流披面，有人要用氧氣罩協助呼吸。多名記者懷疑被雜物擊中受傷。警方表示，有11名警員受傷，其中一人被咬斷右手無名指其中一截，另一人被鉗夾斷手指。

晚上7時，一眾民主派立法會議員及區議員在警方防線前坐成一排，要求見指揮官。同時，前線示威者掩護後方撤退，並不斷游說其他人離開：「要走一齊走！」、「再唔走就走唔到㗎啦！」示威者將物資傳回後方，並築成人鏈，數著「一、二、一、二」慢慢向後退至源禾路及鄉事會路交界。示威者在十字路口築起防線，與沙燕橋上的防暴警察對峙。

晚上約8時，沙燕橋上的防暴警察舉藍旗，要求示威者馬上離開。沙田鄉事會路有警員呼籲示威者循新城市廣場離開，當時示威者已往新城市廣場方向撤退，部分示威者進入好運中心以及沙田中心商場平台，警方則沿路向前推進，期間有人高處擲物，警方舉起盾牌。
晚上約9時，大批防暴警察進入瀝源邨通往沙田市中心的天橋，並要求在場人士離開。另一邊廂，有防暴警察進入沙田中心屋苑平台範圍，現場居民表示不滿，要求警察離開：「呢度私人屋苑地方，你哋走啦，冇人請你哋嚟！」、「唔該你哋走啦，你嚇親我哋啲小朋友呀。」最終該批防暴警察調頭離開現場。

是次遊行的主辦方沙田一隅，原訂在晚上8至11時，在沙田大會堂的百步梯舉行放映會，並向警方申請不反對通知書。晚上7時許，沙田一隅宣布由於放映器材未運抵場地，百步梯將舉行和平集會，有過千名市民參與。主辦方亦呼籲示威者到百步梯暫避，集會初期氣氛平靜。有市民發言時說，如非有一群年輕人在6月12日示威，《逃犯條例》修訂可能已通過：「係佢哋付出咗好大代價，我哋先有今日呢個機會。」

晚上約10時，警方於沙田大會堂外截查一批人士，並大聲呼喝：「坐低！係咪想逃走！」又要求市民脫下帽子，有市民受驚。之後，警方將16男17女送上旅遊巴，前往葵涌警署。據悉，該批市民有可能被控告非法集結。

衝突前，下午的沙田遊行和平進行，原訂於下午3時半出發，由於參加人數眾多，站滿整個翠田街球場及附近的車公廟路，遊行提前半小時出發。不少市民高舉「守住香港、守住善良」、「警察濫權、香港玩完」的標語，並沿路高呼「林鄭下台」、「我要雙普選」等口號。

由於近日警民衝突加劇，不少市民自製與警察有關的標語表達不滿，又不斷大叫「黑警落地獄」、「成立獨立調查委員會」等口號。經過警方佈防位置時，遊行人士總是發出噓聲並不斷大鬧「死黑警」，有市民更大叫要和警察「隻揪」。有遊行人士自發在行車路中間的圓柱上築起連儂牆，獲得熱烈支持，不少人將自備的標語及便利貼貼上連儂牆。

由於遊行路線鄰近民居，有居民在陽台上貼上「加油」紙張，又掛起一件黃色衣服，引來遊行人士歡呼。亦有人掛上巨大直幡：「DQ逆民意，還我雙普選。收回暴動定性，追究警隊濫權。」大會宣布有11.5萬人上街，警方指高峰時有2.8萬人。
