for the ppl out there in the working society, wat do u all think?

im quite in a dilemma. under female superior for 100/200 more? or under male superior who is easy going person?

female tends to be over agressive and impatient and will try to nag here and there. treat u like a kid.

male easy going. as long job is done and smooth, he leaves it to you and
dun nag here and there.

tis is my personal opinion, it might/might not apply to anyone.

would you work under male or female superior?

I've worked under female and male bosses before, imo some males could be worse than females and some females are just plain bitchy.

My current boss is a female one and thank goodness she's easy going so long as i do my job and give her no trouble at work. I think its really a heng suay situation, if you boss is easy going and chin chai, it doesn't matter if they are male or female. :D

Female bosses should be split between spinsters and married women. There is a huge difference between the two.

It depends on whether they are comfortable with their situation in life.
There are some spinsters who are nicer than married woman because they are comfortable with who they are.
There are some married women who bring their problems at home to work. Same for spinsters.

Ive worked with both species before & I can concur from my observation, the married women displays the most colors in the office.
Not only are they very emotional, quick tempered, they tend to be verbally abusive. A slight hinge they can blow their top like vesuvius. Its a blardy wonder how their poor hubbies can take their shit.

Assholes transcend both genders. As wiki said, it's a matter of heng suay.

They don't give their husbands shit.
They bring it to the office.

More difficult for females to work under female bosses.

I find the topic too subjective. Based on my personal experiences in a couple of companies these are what I encountered.

1. I have a british male boss who treated lady staff better than his male staff. Guys live like hell under such environment.

2 I worked with a lady taiwanese boss who have many kids. She was very polite like japanese woman. She trusted her workers more than her own siblings and never scold a single words in my entire working life in her company.

3. I worked for a respectful and understanding male indian CEO but my lady colleague love to suck up to him and make life like hell for everyone working with her. She is his secretary.

4. I worked for a family business, the father is better than his daughter who yayapapaya until every worker started to quit. Eventually the father scolded his daughter for not being able to maintain good relationship with her workers.

5. I have a lady superior, she was very friendly and casual woman but she draws the line clearly between frienship and work. She is a no nonsense lady. Generally she is very understanding and nice woman. But when come to work, she is a tough lady.

6. I worked for an old man superior, he was very talkative and also very calculative in giving you more benefits to work in the company which does not belong to him.

7. My first job is a male boss. He treated me like his own son and was very very caring. Unfortunately his deputy is a woman 10 years my senior. She was very sensitive and get jealous easily because of my "priviledge" treatment. I had a hard time under her until my own boss has to mediate her regular unreasonable "fight" with me. I quited shortly after my boss was transferred out to avoid further torture from her.

8. I joined a stat board with a very nice and caring male boss. But he was a no brainer and I do not want to be influenced by his complacency because I was a very ambitious guy when I stepped out into the society to work.

Looking back....I an numbed and only during the interview process, you just have to trust your intinct and gut feelings. End of the day, you must be appreciative and not take for granted other people kindness if you landed in a good job with nice boss.

As for me, end of the day I worked for money and not for boss. Under PAP, I learned to be very realistic now.

To summarize myfoot's experiences:

1. There are plenty of chee hong males bosses out there.
2. Married women bosses can be nice too.
3. Secretaries and personal assistants can be real bitches.
4. Second generation and third generation bosses can be real fuckers and undo the good things their elders have done or built up.

haizzzz, i worked with female boss in the past.
hell, everyday 10 over calls looking for me, over worried asking why i am not picking up calls. go toilet shit, also can ask why i go toilet so long?
shit i dun tink take 5 mins? almost everyday liam keng to me

another female boss again. like a "guardian angel" worry i do wrong tings, eat snake, nvr follow order. docs must stapled in sequence order even tho u did not stapled in sequence, itz still the same docs rite?
same liam keng to me.

now facing female manager as my superior. this office is not spacious, crowded wif staff. the colleagues among them dun talk or joke wif each other.
no radio at all. juz buried ur head into the work and wait for knock off.
im new, not familiarize with the in-house system yet cuz it is the 3rd day.
so i tend to be slow, she get impatient, agitated and raise her voice. itz kind of unnecessary extra stress. not work stress.

my fren is joining a company telling me the male boss is easy going..."qin cai" i shd said. the pay offer is slightly less than wat my current company is offering.

i mean of course we work for the money, not for fun. perhaps u all tink im whining.
anyway if juz getting slightly lower and u can enjoy the freedom, easy going environment, would you switch?

Instead of looking at it as a few hundred more, I see it more as %. If the increment is more than 10%, I suggest you take the gamble. But if it is less than 5%, then seriously, is the probable extra stress worth that additional 5%?

For what I know, dont work under an Indian Manager or Boss.

They are the most fucked up people that you can work with.

Worst than a snake! As what they said," if you had a gun in your hand and in front of you stands a black cobra and an Indian, who do you kill first???"

Too fucking right. Indian bosses, even local ones are no different from a indian forked tongue spitting cobra. When they shake their head from right to left rigourously, you have no idea whether its a yes or no answer.
On a serious note, the local indian bosses in Spore has the Sinkie Syndrome. They tend to hang out with succesful chinese sporeans while looking down on their own kind. They drive flashy cars so they can get into the "club". But alas, the chinese will always be ever suspicious of them.

It is the Character of the boss that is important not the gender. I agree with nickers9, many are two headed snakes.

yeah and my boss is there mainly due to family connection and in her early 30s not married....i hope she gets a bf quick so that he can bonk her crazy cos if not end up like old spinsters...character very weird..

The race of the employer counts as much as it represents their character as well.
Ive yet to meet any indian boss who dont make empty promises, dont talk so much as if they know of the topic discussed & certainly one who treat his staffs fairly. Most indian bosses only serve their own interests eg buying flashy cars & expensive properties. Its a wonder why IRAS has not targetted any extensive audit on businesses run by local indians. They may strike gold going by the way how indians run their shady business.
