Wonton mee stall won't up price - out of concern for poor retirees

<!-- by line --> <!-- end by line -->I HAVE been a customer of a wonton mee stall in Block 6 Jalan Bukit Merah since the 1980s until today. In the 1980s, they sold wonton mee at $1.50, and today they sell it at only $2. It is the lowest-priced mee stall in the market. Despite the increase in costs over the past 30 years, the stall owners have increased the price by only 50 cents. Their bowl of mee is not only cheap but also delicious. They open their stall as early as 5.45am to enable early workers to fill their stomachs before they go to work. I believe their wonton mee is worth at least $2.50. So I suggested that they increase the price to $2.50. They thanked me and explained to me why they did not increase the price. It was because they had a heart for poor retirees, many of whom live from hand to mouth. I was touched by their empathy. The least I could do was write this letter to thank them on behalf of all their customers, retirees and others. May they continue to be healthy so their customers will not miss their cheap but delicious and fulfilling wonton mee.

As usual Singaporeans are too brain dead to realised .

If it is cheap, you should be afraid .
