SHE thought it would be the start of a promising film career when she auditioned for a leading role in a movie.
However, it was not to be for the 21-year-old when a man in his 40s molested her on the pretext of acting out a sex scene.
Speaking to Harian Metro, the unidentified woman said she had earlier come across an advertisement posted by the man on Facebook, seeking budding actresses to audition for the lead female role in an upcoming film.
"When I contacted the man, he asked me to attend an audition at a house in Kuala Lumpur. Although I found it odd that he asked me to come alone, I just brushed it off," she said.
The woman said that upon arrival at the house at about 5pm on Thursday, the man invited her into an empty room.
"I became very suspicious when I noticed no camera or film equipment inside the room. The man then told me that the audition involved only both of us and I would be sexually harassed by him."
Before she could question the man, he started hugging, kissing and fondling her private parts.
"I tried to push him away but he kept insisting that it was only part of the act for the audition," she said.
She lodged a report at the Dang Wangi police station that night.
She found out later that several women who attended the "audition" were turned away by the man for being "unsuitable" for the role.
