A bad nose job has left a young woman in Southern China with uneven nostrils that are beyond repair, a city news portal reports.
According to Fznews.com.cn, a 24-year-old woman paid 12,000 yuan (HK$14,700) for a nose job and a Botox injection last year at Fuzhou Grammy Beauty Hospital after graduating from university.
She emerged from the surgery to find that her nostrils were uneven, there were new lumps on her face and her skin was sagging.
She demanded 100,000 yuan in compensation for what she said were “medical blunders”.
“I looked 10 years older after the surgery,” the woman said.
She then sought help at various hospitals in Fuzhou but was told her nose job was beyond repair.
Fuzhou Grammy Beauty Hospital denied it had made any mistakes and refused to pay the compensation.
Last week, an art student in Beijing took a cosmetic surgery clinic to court seeking 800,000 yuan in damages for a nose operation that had similar results. A verdict in that case has yet to be announced.
