Woman says of man who posed as MOM officer: 'I thought he was surely going to rape me'

A young woman was molested by a man impersonating a Ministry of Manpower (MOM) officer at the MOM Work Pass Services Centre at the Tanjong Pagar Complex when she went there to collect her work permit.
He gave the woman directions, followed her, then dragged her to a staircase landing where he groped her.
The woman, 22, said: “I was shocked. I resisted and screamed. I thought he was surely going to rape me."
A passer-by who heard the woman’s screams came and the man ran away.
The alleged molester was eventually arrested after the woman returned to the building with her boyfriend and spotted him.
Her boyfriend had called the police. Investigations are ongoing.
