SINGAPORE: A 23-year-old woman went missing last Wednesday, taking with her some S$80,000 worth of valuables belonging to her relatives. The missing woman, Patricia Tan, was adopted by Madam Kok Kim Lee when she was only two days old. According to Madam Kok, Patricia never gave her any problems until she met her boyfriend last May. Patricia started borrowing money from her and even stopped coming home at times.
Last Wednesday, Madam Kok's sister and brother-in-law visited Singapore and left their luggage at her place. When Madam Kok returned home, she discovered that the suitcases, which contained a laptop, jewellery and other valuables, were missing. Neighbours said Patricia and a man were seen leaving the house with the suitcases. The family has filed a missing person report. - CNA/vm
