SHAH ALAM - A woman in Shah Alam was found hacked to death with an axe in her house in Shah Alam, Harian Metro reported.
The victim, 34-year-old Noviaryani was found dead by a neighbour, Poziah Supian Supien, 56.
She claimed the victim had earlier been seen arguing with a man in the house they rented.
The man was later seen leaving the house on a motorcycle, carrying a bag and looking relaxed.
"Minutes later, Noviaryani's housemate said she called out to her but there was no response. When I received no answer as well, I entered her room only to find her dead," Poziah said.
The daily reported that police had also found bruises on the victim's neck, indicating strangulation.
Shah Alam deputy OCPD Supt Mazlan Othman said post-mortem reports showed the victim died from severe bleeding and head injuries.
