Woman gang raped, two arrested

A 30-year-old woman was allegedly gang raped by two men in Mandir Marg area of the high-security New Delhi district, police said today.

Two persons, identified as Brijmohan and Golu, have been arrested while the third accused was still at large, they said.

The woman, a resident of West Delhi's Baljeet Nagar area, had come to RML hospital last evening along with a relative for his check up.

They were walking through Ridge Road on their way to home. The woman asked her relative to stop at one point answer nature's call.

EC reschedules repoll in 2 TN polling stations to May 10

Election Commission on Wednesday said the repoll in one polling station each in Salem and Namakkal constituencies, a move flayed by ruling AIADMK, will be held on May 10 and not on May 8 as originally announced following candidates' demand for 48 hours notice before polling.

"The Election Commission has stated that representations from candidates have been received seeking at least 48 hours notice before re-poll is held. The Commission has accepted the request and has decided to defer the re-poll and it will now be held on 10th May," Tamil Nadu Chief Electoral Officer Praveen Kumar said in a release.

BJP roadshow today in retaliation to ban on Modi's rally

BJP will stage a protest outside the Election Commission headquarters in New Delhi today against denial of permission to a rally to be addressed by Narendra Modi in Varanasi.

The demonstration, to be led by the party's Vice President Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, is expected to be see the participation of BJP's MPs and Delhi MLAs.

The party is angry over the denial of permission to Modi's rally by the Varanasi district authorities and vows to fight out.
