Woman found murdered at home
PORT KLANG: A woman stumbled upon the body of her sister after the latter did not answer her phone calls.
Lim Peck Lan, 65, was found with her hands and legs tied, with her mouth gagged.
Lim, who lived alone, was found dead in her house in Jalan Seroja here at 6.30pm on Wednesday.
Klang Selatan police district deputy chief Supritendant Azman Abd Razak said: "The victim was discovered when the sister tried to contact her at 2.30pm and again at 3.30pm. But she could not be reached."
He said based on initial investigations, it was believed that robbers had broken into the victim's house. The victim might have been killed by one or more assailants.
"Nearly the entire house has been ransacked. Several items were stolen, including the victim's identification card."
The body was sent to Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah for a post-mortem.
