Woman filmed in public toilet

PETALING JAYA - A 28-year-old woman got a rude shock when she realised a man was using his handphone to film her in a toilet cubicle at a shopping mall here.
The woman, known only as Tan, was at the mall last week with her boyfriend Cheah when she decided to go to the toilet.
She saw a bald man in his 30s walking past outside the loo. Thinking he was just going to the men's toilet nearby, Tan then entered a cubicle in the women's toilet.
"A few seconds later, I looked down and saw someone filming me from underneath the cubicle door using a smartphone with a bright red cover," she said.
Startled, Tan quickly stood up but the man ran away.
Cheah, who was waiting in the corridor, heard someone running towards the emergency exit but it was locked.
"He escaped through another stairway," said Tan, a customer service senior executive.
"My boyfriend identified him as the same bald man that I saw," she said, adding that they requested help from the mall's security guard but no action was taken.
The couple lodged a police report and forwarded it to the mall the next day.
In a Facebook page created by the couple over the incident, the mall management said it was investigating the incident and apologised for how it was handled.
