The woman then clung on to the bonnet of the car and refused to let go, even after the driver started inching the car forward, reported Sin Chew Daily News.
The driver told the woman, who was wearing a hat and sunglasses and is believed to be a Chinese national, that she would be driving her to a police station.
She told the woman in Mandarin: "Okay, I'll take you to the police station. Don't fall off!"
Throughout the time, the woman continued to shout to passing motorists to help her.
She said in English: "She bang me (sic)! She bang me! She want (sic) to go away! Help me to call police!"
They advised her to get off the car and to make a police report, but she refused.
The video of the incident, which is believed to have taken place in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur, was uploaded on video-sharing site YouTube on Aug 12 and has gone viral.
It had 42,399 views before it was made private by the original YouTube user, 183clover. But copies have been uploaded by other users since.
183clover wrote that the incident took place on July 23.
