Woffles Wu pays speeding fine, gets 12 demerit points
SINGAPORE - Plastic surgeon Woffles Wu, whose sentencing for abetting an elderly employee to give misleading information to the police sparked a flurry of debate, has been established as the driver during the two speeding offences.
The Traffic Police found that he drove at 95kmh and 91kmh above the speed limit of 70kmh. The two offences took place in 2005 and 2006.
In line with precedent cases, composition fine was offered to Wu and he has since taken up the offer. Wu paid the fine and accumulated 6 demerit points for each of the two speeding offences.
