<TABLE border=1 cellSpacing=5 cellPadding=3 width=600 align=center><TBODY><TR><TD>[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]SINGAPORE: Deputy Prime Minister Wong Kan Seng has welcomed the position taken by the National Council of Churches of Singapore, on the recent saga involving women's group, AWARE.

On Thursday, the umbrella Christian group issued a statement saying, among other things, that it did not condone the use of the pulpit to get involved in the controversy.

Mr Wong, who is also Home Affairs Minister, said it was a "responsible" stand that will help prevent any misunderstanding that the churches are backing one side in the AWARE dispute, or that this is a dispute between Christians and other Singaporeans.

He added that tolerance and restraint by all racial and religious groups is the "only practical way" for them to pursue their faiths in peace.

AWARE is having an extraordinary general meeting at Suntec City Hall 402 on Saturday, 2 pm, following a "no confidence" call by the old committee, after a new committee took over recently.

Mr Wong should shut up. If he talks, he should clarify the government's position on homosexuality.

1) If the government's stand is that homosexuality is illegal and same sex marriage is banned; then the government should be against homosexuality and banned it from being taught as neutral and normal.

2) If the government's stand is that homosexuality is normal and should be tolerated; then the government should legalized same sex marriage and repeal section 377a.

There's is no grey area in this. It's black or white.

If you knew of a groups of law breakers who is living in an apartment near-by, who you report to this to police or say you should tolerate them? This is an extreme view by unfortunately, it is also the fact. Homosexuals are promiscuous and they have the same sexual drive and heterosexual males. They are breaking the day every single day and they government knows about it but condone it because they wrote the law so.

So tell me PAP, can you take a stand for once and tell us what is right and what is wrong??
