A STOMPer was upset that this taxi, which he boarded, had no air-con. When he asked the taxi driver about it, the driver replied saying that it's because the taxi was going to be scrapped in two weeks.
Says this STOMPer:
"This happened July 29 at about 2.35pm.
"I flagged down this taxi, got in and noticed that the taxi was very hot.
"So I requested for the driver to up the fan speed and lower the temperature.
"He said it's very cool in front.
"I argued that it's basically wind and no cold air.
"Then he started to say 'Aiya, this taxi's going to be scrap in two weeks time. Don't need to bother.'
"So I replied: 'Huh? I paid for taxi service but I am getting recycled warm air blown at my face?'
"But since I had already gotten into his taxi, I also didn't want to argue further.
"But it will be a sad thing for future customers who got on his cab in the next two weeks.
"Nevertheless, I paid him the full cab fare."
