SINGAPORE: The gloomy economic situation may see some Singaporeans cutting down on spending this festive season.
But it is not stopping one businessman from giving generously.
This businessman, who wants to keep his identity secret, gave S$20,000 to the young girl who survived the Yishun triple murder case.
The brutal attacker had killed the girl's mother, and the 15-year-old even lost her right eye in the ordeal.
The businessman saw the teenager's plight in a special report on Channel 8's Chinese current affairs programme Frontline.
And through the production team, he met the young girl and her grandmother, and handed over the money to the girl.
