Even with regular washing, older clothing may retain traces of sweat, skin cells and body odour. Such residues accumulate over time and contribute to the musty smell. Don't forget that we live in a hot and humid environment in S'pore. Those who rely on public transport perspire more from walking to the bus stop or MRT station. Not everyone goes from home to a car and then to office where there is air-conditioning almost every step of the way.I have a few pieces of old clothes and I wear them regularly but they have bad smell even though I wash them regularly. It is not wise to buy dryer because we can easily dry our clothes in SingaporeUse a dryer after wash.
It's not dry enough due to humidity. Hence the odour. Unless it's a really hot sunny day, no clouds, maybe. It is not wise to buy dryer because we can easily dry our clothes in Singapore

Nonsense. It saves time ironing if done right. Can fold straight away.It damages our clothes
You need the heat to blast the smell. If humidity is a problem, place your clothes drying rack in an air-con room, that will suck away any humidity.

I have tried that before but I think it may overwork the AC because the AC need to work harder to get rid of the humidityWrong. From experience hot air clothes dryers are just a waste of money and electricity.
Drying clothes in an air-con room after washing with anti-bacteria scented detergent completely eliminates any smell, only a fragrant scent remains.
