and that includes their toast box.

AsiaOne Singapore, April 5, 2010 - Is BreadTalk not hiring Singaporeans?

According to one Singaporean, it's a 'Yes', after he was turned down by a Malaysian HR manager at the famous bread chain which has outlets here, Malaysia and Indonesia.

A Shin Min Daily News yesterday reported about how a jobless Singaporean, who went to a BreadTalk outlet for a walk-in interview, was rejected by its Malaysian HR manager.

Apparently, the manager told him: “We don’t want to hire Singaporeans. We look after our own first.”

I don't see anything wrong with that. Singapore is just a city. It's not a country. :)

Good for them, those m&ds. Sinkeeland should do the same and send those m&ds moto working in peesai back to mudland. But it won't happen cause sinkee employer loves cheap m&ds.

The Malaysian HR manager did a good judgment on turning down sinkies, I believe he or she had kana played out by sinkie workers many time by hiring them and resign the next week

we should go to Breadtalk and pay in ringgit.

We look after their own first.

if you don't want to hire, can find all sort of excuses. tell the job seeker that we don't hire Singaporeans for what?:mad:

So Icing Room also is own by them ! Whenever I see the waitress in french chambermaid uniform, I want to put icing on their face !

If this is indeed the reason, then the Malaysian HR Manager doesn't sound intelligent, maybe sound dumb even, for not stating the real reason but instead said something real dumb and inflammatory.

Shows that there is no fear of any repercussions from the authorities or public.

BreadTalk's bread nice? When i was in Taiwan, the bakeries there were easily 3 times better in terms of variety, taste, decor and service. They are so creative that they even have fried japanese noodles on the bread itself.

Taiwan copy Japan , and then Singapore copy Taiwan .

Yeah, the fried noodle bread is Yakisoba-pan. It's common in Japan, and they usually have it in school canteens.

and that includes their toast box....... famous bread chain which has outlets here, Malaysia and Indonesia.

Breadtalk halal or not? In Malaysia and Indonesia do they put chicken floss or pork floss?
Breadtalk sells boutique bread, I heartlander buy bread from neighbourhood shop.

Breadtalk? Saw one of their staff dropped the bread on the floor and than picked it up and put back on the shelf again. I signalled the PRC staff to throw it away as it is not hygenic for their customer. She went to the backroom, eye signalled to her next colleague, both waited for me to leave so that they can return the dirty bread to the shelf. Ever since then, I have stopped patronising all breadtalk out of protest and patriotism. Their bread is bloody expensive and dirty after my first impression. Those who still eat breadtalk, don't blame me if you lau Sai after consumption.
