___________Why George Yeo might have a soft spot for drunk drivers:[/SIZE]
A few days back, George Yeo had a lohei dinner with his blogkakis. I have no idea George Quek (of Breadtalk) is a blogger. I do know one interesting tidbit about Quek. One early morning in 2004 October, George Quek rammed his Porsche into a police car at a road block along AMK Ave 1. He was subsequently found guilty of drink driving and fined $4,000 but not jailed. This is a rare exception (not being jailed) considering that he had grossly endangered the lives of public officers on duty. What is $4,000 to the CEO of a multi-million dollar food franchise ? He probably makes that in one day.

Now, if MFA/GY really thinks Dr Ionescu's attitude is "shocking", "callous" and "irresponsible", then he might want to express the same indignation at his namesake Quek. But no, he had a fine lohei with Quek in Geylang. Oh well, this is Singapore, what to do ?
