i was wondering why our local elite MIWs are so hardup for millionaires to be in our midst.

i later realized that maybe most of them came from poor family background, most of them haven't outgrown the need for financial peace of mind...

and they are happy to suck up to the riches whenever possible....agreeed?

Oversimplification in stating causal relationships when correlations are observed, is very very bad for strategic evaluation. The need to ensure financial peace of the Singapore system is a perpectual necessity. Sticking with winning horses is never wrong. But we do not look down on poorer foreign talents as well. This has paid good dividends as new millionaires are born in rags to riches stories of these foreign talents. Such success stories are reminscent of our forefathers who succeeed in Singapore
