Why don't Opposition adopt 'divide and conquer' tactic ?

Opposition should give PAP a taste of its own medicine. PAP has used this tactic of 'divide and conquer' to great effect. Perhaps opposition should consider returning PAP a favour.

We are know that Lau Goh and Pinky are at loggerheads, especially this GE where it seems Pinky is trying to douse the popularity of Lau Goh.

Now I think Opposition should at times praise Lau Goh at the expense of Pinky. For example, Lau Goh had commented that Tan Jee Say was not cut for Permanent Secretary. Tan Jee Say could have said something along this line -

- that he is now the political opponent of Lau Goh and he does not expect Lau Goh to publicly praise his opponent however gentleman Lau Goh may be;

- that your boss' opinion does not necessarily make or break you. Remember Lau Goh was not LKY's first choice, not even second choice as we remember Lim Chee Oon was ahead of Lau Goh in the pecking order. But Lau Goh had emerged to a very popular PM, in fact more popular than the current PM.
