Why do most beauty pagents have chinese contestants?

This is something i found different from male pagents.

Let's take man hunt for eg, you can probably find men from other ethnic groups and probably even ang moh in there.


For the female ones, let's see the most recent one being the miss universe pagent i could only remember 1 non chinese contestant and she was a malay contestant.


Would you agree with my observations and why do you think this is so?
