Malaysian-owned AMDK Universal Studio can open for business but our iconic Uncle Ringo new permanent amusement park in Punggol have to remain closed!!!

WTF! This is a brand new project and Uncle Ringo's second generation management have to burn $100,000 a month because our country don't let me start operations.

Just my guess, I think they do hire many local seniors.

Ms Lee said they are burning through about S$100,000 a month. About half of it goes to warehousing costs, where their machines, rides and game booths are stored. The rest is for manpower, permits and licensing costs.

This is after about five people were laid off from the team of 24, while putting the rest on a three-day work week with a pay cut of around 40 per cent. The exceptions are the maintenance guys who are needed to keep the equipment in good shape, and work on requests from other operators to service their machines.

They are reluctant to let any more people go, Ms Lee said. For one, most of them have worked with her family for more than two decades.

“How do I tell my staff … that ‘sorry, I don’t think we’re going to continue, please go out’. They are 50 years old, 60 years old.”

The park will be very popular and successful as people are not going to travel for leisure anytime soon. Who is plotting to force them go bust so they can take over them for zero dollars like Hyflux Tuaspring?

Please don't think SIA is any better. SIA is just burning our country's money while local entrepreneurs like Uncle Ringo are true hardworking people. Please don't think SIA is so highly sought-after, I came to know that the desperatos going for those $600 meals in the plane are just trying to use their expiring flight and credit card mileages.
