Abandoned Princess Cinema now a popular haunt for vandals
According to STOMPer Sharp Eye, the now-defunct Princess Cinema at Clementi Ave 3, is now a popular haunt for vandals.
In an email to STOMP today (June 8), the STOMPer wrote:
“These pictures were taken at the now defunct Princess cinema at Clementi Ave 3.
“This building was once a popular haunt of cinema and movie fans.
“The light bulbs are now mostly broken and vandals have moved in.
“This was formerly occupied by the KFC fast food outlet but now the place is deserted.
“As I approached the staircase I was confronted with the stench of urine and I could see graffiti scrawled on the walls.
“I hope this building can be demolished and be replaced by either a garden or a multi-storey car park as there is a serious shortage of parking lots in this housing estate.
“The FairPrice supermarket and the Clementi Polyclinic attracted a lot of shoppers and patience and finding a parking lot is like searching for a needle in a haystack.”
