If u observe the masses when u go to the mall, buy food or queue for something, take a look at how people in general behave.

There’s something retarded about their actions or speed of doing things. A good example is using a stored value card to pay for a drink at an ordering kiosk (e.g. McDonald’s , koi , Mr Coconut), where some people don’t even know which way to slide the card or tap.

Most people are so brainless they can’t even attempt to use these machines without seeking help from the staff. And mind you, these are simple touchscreen operations such as ‘dine in’ or ‘takeaway’ , choose a burger, choose sides and proceed to pay.

The new NTUC at Sengkang Grand mall has no cashier. You scan with your fairprice app or checkout counter and pay.

Then they station staff at the exit to randomly check 4 items per customers before leaving.
