Having unnecessary body and hand movements eg I want to go there. Although the there is not within the eyes of the screen (both the crews and viewers) , they will point their finger there together with saying out that location.
Since they already said the words of the location, it isn't necessary to point it unless the viewers are deaf. Or unless they don't say it out and just point.

I'm not a drama/movie producer but I know better than the producers.
I'm not an actor I'm not a star and I don't even have my own car , but I know more than all the award winning star search actors , including the judges and the acting class instructors.

Please send my comment to them if they seriously want some improvements in the acting industry.

I think becos this sign is not pointing to anywhere but rather just an action, and the old farts need to do this together with the dialogues and scripts given to them so that they feel more comfortable to leemember and say out the scripts. Or else probably they will need to retake and retake.

Whereas for the finger pointing action.
My thought is that they feel empty by just saying out the location and to give themselves some self assurance to remember the script and also a best time to apply the non action finger up sign to a finger pointing sign, so they add some vege to it, not aware that it is unnecessary.
