That's why between taking a bus or the MRT, unless absolutely necessary you should take the bus. There's a much higher chance of you getting a seat, the view is nicer.
The time saved by taking the MRT is nullified if you switch lines, because usually there's a long way to walk between the platforms of different lines as the newer MRT lines were added as an afterthought.
