I was waiting to pick up my wife from the train station, still early, get out of the car, walk to the slope retaining wal which is about 50 feet away from the station exit is way out of the no smoking area.
Took out my pipe, light it and start puffing away, an indian man in his 40's walk by and start to swap his newspaper around, heck care about him .
He start to walk nearer and swapping around him faster and glare at me, i look at him and start puffing away, exhale in his direction stand up and look directly into his face, he face was close to bursting with anger he turn and walk toward the station police and start yapping away pointing at me, the police just shrug his shoulder, he walk back to his car and roll up the window.:p:p:p

You have the right to smoke a legal substance in a place not designated as no-smoking zone. Ah Neh has the right to be offended by having to inhale second-hand smoke. Mata was right to overlook the situation. All three are right. This is a civil society.

Cheers!

Bro chuckyworld, perhaps it is not polite to exhale into somebody's face. :o It maybe your rights though.

But he should also exercise his IQ, EQ, AQ and whatever Q not to walk towards you. :( He may be exercising his rights to walk towards you. Having said that, there is nothing to stop you from exhaling at your own pleasure.

At the end of the day, the policeman is right to just shrug his shoulder. :)

Bro Agoraphobic, you made a very fun judge. :D :p

It is always the policeman's right to shrug his shoulder, either left or right or both at the same time, especially in Singapore.

So many types of Q to follow, can get blur easily.

If we can we should not punish/sentence anyone to harsh punitive measures; this world is already full of suffering, miseries, hardships despite all the advances our species has made in science, social assistance, human aids etc, etc. If each and everyone of us can leave the planet a little better than when we arrived, we would have done good in our lives, that is all I hope for our species.

Cheers!

As usual, Chinese Kualan, Indian Kaypoh and Mat Bohchup.

Fook Gor, those were the days when policemen were respected. These days, Singapore mata really useless - kind of impotent. What else do anybody expect them to do? Shrug shoulders of course. :o  :(

Bro Agoraphobic, let us all do our share, in our own little way, to make this world a better place to be in. :) ;)

Bro YanDao, I was about to say good summary. But I hesitated coz I think people are the same everywhere we go. There are the good, the bad and the ugly. :D :p

There is no right nor wrong answer

its the way how we view and looked at certain matters and issues in our life.
