I really struggle to fathom how anyone in their right mind would be willing to pay $22500 per month in rental costs, but I guess the fact that such things exist means there must be a demand.

How much must one be earning in order to afford a place like this?

Do you see the incredulity? This is what I cannot fathom.

Even if someone earned a million dollars a year, he would have to allocate a staggering 27% of his income just to live in a palatial home like this.

I don't think any person in their right mind would be willing to do that. I would have to be earning $3 million a year (in take home pay) before even considering. And that would still be 9% of my total income. Which is really shocking.

I don't understand why it is necessary for anyone to live like this. Obviously they are not Singaporeans!

There are few problem contribute to FT/Expat living in condo
1. Biggest problem is they cannot buy HDB. So they have to find play to stay.
2. High post expat the company will pay the rent. That in the contract.

In sg all of these things are overpriced. They don't mean anything just to further inflate one's ego and of course make those that do not have it jealous.

Overall it's the same with the luxury sports cars.

embassies normally pay this kind of rent for their ambassadors but sentosa seems a bit out of way in case they entertain dignitaries, they'd prefer Holland road enclave
