muay thai

Muay Thai is a complete stand up fighting but is not purely striking and they have sweeping and clinch.

Their style counter by wrestling. Once wrestler take them down, they can't do much on the ground. Being say tat muay Thai also stand a chance to knock them out. Wrestling do counter them base on MMA.

Learning wrestling first after that learn striking will be easier. Learning striking first after that learn grappling would be harder.

first of all, wrestling is fake. secondly, it cant "counter" or "take them down" because the moment wrestler run towards them they can knee or kick him away no chance to get them on the ground.

grappling is very stupid and boring thing in mma, can see on tv is win due to technical rules. in a real street fight, muay thai works better because groundwork is useless without rules and ppl can bite or scratch.

agree.

add : muay thai is good partly also because the thai boxers are really tough. a lot of their training is literally whacking the boxer to withstand blows. You can kick a thai boxer once, he will just shake it off. Kick a taekwondo guy once, he will probably pengsan. Of course, the TKD kick maybe more powerful, but it has to land.

oi! "professional wrestling" aka the one you see on tv is fake. the olympic or greco-roman wrestling practiced in schools in angmohland and semi-professional competitions is absolutely real. don't mess with these guys. fight is over before it even starts if they grab you.

grappling in mma is largely bjj. you are right in that in a real fight bjj is a joke. honestly, a lot of people say mma is realistic and representative of a street fight. for anyone with any experience this is obviously garbage. mma rules tend to favour submission moves which bjj is built around. if you remove the rules, the bjj guy would probably be dead.

yah without rules can easily grab balls and jab eyes etc rather than waste time trying to manoeuvre out

Yeah. What I mean is those Greco wrestling, freestyle wrestling and sambo etc. Many ancient nations have wrestling including china. Wrestling lack of establishment in South East Asia even if have, is gonna to be very expensive.

Wrestling can pin peo down without striking robbers or attacker. If u ko the attacker, the person might die and u need to give tremendous evidence to back up.

Good wrestler also know some punches and striking. Striking also very dependable on size. If the attacker is way bigger size, strikers will also have to beware. A small size trained striker against a heavy weight untrained person also very hard to utilize his striking skill and he also have to hit him and run away.
As for wrestler, even small size can take down a big size person. No joke man. They know centre gravity of the person. As for facing many attackers, best is also run away no matter how good is your striking is so don't need to mention that wrestling is good for one on one situation. To add on, wrestling take down peo in hard ground, not those ring and definitely the person would be in great pain.

As for bjj, it is very important to learn in MMA but might not be so useful in self defence as u won't be on the ground facing up and defend or u wanna kill the person doing rear naked choke. It is very hard to learn and also will incur many injuries esp back, as u will always on your back and u also need to be very very flexible.

good but is more like gymnastics than martial arts

HAHA. I am not against such a rigorous practice if it came from his own parent.

However, Marial arts is different. believe me the following video clip of only 6 seconds describes the best Gym freak who did her best ever.
Those who have the nicks and knacks in Gym moves may agree with me.

exactly, martial arts is different. your first clip of the boy and second clip of the girl both just show them doing backflips.

China got one striking martial art which is Sanda. Got use wrestling over clinch fighting. Takedown score more. Copy Muay Thai just that they use wrestling over clinch.

Bruce Lee would be a good fighter. He is very flexible and the way I saw how bendy he is, he really can kick fast and hard. Then he also a boxing champion in his high school.

He shld have pursue boxing but he prefers to mix other marital arts. The way I saw his stance and way of fighting is like the morden day of UFC Stephen 'wonderboy' Thomson if u really watch UFC. Southpaw and like to use front side kick.
