I am thinking of getting one to save time when preparing meals. But as with pressure cooker, safety is always my concern especially I have a young girl at home. Do you use an electric pressure cooker? Any good recommendation?

Instant-pot

You can also get the thermomix. Not pressure cooker but can cook a lot of stuff!

explode is my worry
yes.pressure cooker is dangerous and will explode if the seal lock malfunction.the last thing you want is hot liquid flying all over and get yourself disfigure.
get a expensive one if you must. do not save $ by getting a china make.
the hot liquid is the danger source.not so much on the blast.

I had used Prestige since 1978 for more than 10yrs.
But, nowadays electrical items are made in 3rd world countries.
So, i do not know the quality and durabilty compared to donkey yrs ago.

rated lumpar one is the cosori 8 in 1 multifunctional programmable electric pleasure cooker followed by the instant pot ip-duo69 programmable electric pleasure cooker. lumpar 2 is good enough. much cheaper than lumpar one.

That's why it worked for more than 10 years
Why do you want an object to last so long and technology now allows for hassle free cooking without having to worry about burnt or undercooked or overcooked food?

Why would I want my stuff to not break? Because I don't believe in needless waste. The same way I scrounge antique stores for chairs/tables rather than buy that crap at IKEA that's ripping out the Brazilian and Indonesian rainforests.

Aside from pressure cookers these are also good to have in the kitchen and literally last centuries.
