SingTel fire: Fewer fibre broadband subscribers still affected

POSTED: 15 Oct 2013 22:01

SINGAPORE: Some fibre broadband subscribers are still facing connection problems after the fire at a SingTel facility last week.
However, the number has dropped.

According to StarHub, as of 4pm Tuesday some 300 subscribers were still affected, compared to 500 on Monday.

For M1, the number of affected customers on Tuesday was 200, down from 300 on Monday.

Thousands of Internet, pay-TV and telephone users were affected by the fire at the SingTel facility at Bukit Panjang on October 9.

SingTel has completed repair works but other telcos relying on its Internet infrastructure are still reporting problems.
